At MedicalCertificate.in, we maintain a dynamic refund policy, with refunds provided in the following situations:
Eligible Refund Cases:
- If an underage user (under 18) applies without the knowledge of the legal guardians and informs our team before the doctor review.
- If proper medical history or current medical records are unavailable, and the user informs our team before the doctor review.
- If complaints are determined invalid by our health team before doctor review.
- If the user repeatedly requests certificates (over five times) without receiving treatment for their condition and the user informs our team before the doctor reviews.
- If the certificate is needed for purposes including but not limited to medico-legal cases, any unethical purposes, insurance, government employee duty regularization, will purpose, etc and the user informs our team before the doctor review.
- If the doctor fails to contact the user for more than 48 hours working.
- If the user has requested any product/service that we do not offer.
Note: In all cases where refunds are provided a convenience fee as per the product understanding of the company is charged on the total amount based on the base currency or the actual product required, depending upon the company’s discretion.
The below table is a reference for Refundable Products and their Convenience fees including the amount calculated in Base Currency and in INR for reference. Refunds are eligible only before doctor review only:

Non-Refundable Cases:
- Any non-refundable document formats or services are chosen based on the company’s product and service payment structure. All Refundable products are outlined under “Eligible Refund Cases” section in this document.
- The doctor review is done.
- The user is unwilling to attend a doctor’s review if requested by the medical team.
- The user fails to attend a scheduled doctor review even after three attempts from the doctor.
- The certificate has already been issued.
- If the certificate is needed for purposes including but not limited to medico-legal cases, any unethical purposes, insurance, government employee duty regularization, will purpose, etc and the user informs after doctor review.
- There is a mismatch in the user’s medical condition compared to the information provided in the form or during the doctor review.
- The user fails to provide supporting documents requested by the doctor for the ailment mentioned during the doctor review.
- The user completes the doctor review but then requests a cancellation for whatsoever reason. Please note that all details, including duration and diagnosis, are at the doctor’s discretion only, based on the details provided by the user.
- The user does not respond to calls or emails from the support team for more than seven days after booking.
- For Form 1A cases, if the ear and eye test has been conducted
- For Form 1A cases, if the user has missed more than three ear and eye test sessions.
Refund Charges
- Indian Medical Certificates: No refunds are processed for non-refundable cases. A convenience fee will be deducted from refundable cases initiated before the doctor review as per the details mentioned under the section “Eligible Refund Cases”. The user is not eligible for any refund if a request is made for a refund after the doctor review for whatever reason. However, if the doctor denies the case after doctor review, the user is eligible for a refund deducting the convenience fee mentioned in the section “Eligible Refund Cases” and the doctor’s review fee of INR 400. If the doctor processes the case but the customer changes their mind, refunds are not applicable. Please note that all details, including duration and diagnosis, are at the doctor’s discretion only, based on the details provided by the user.
- International Medical Certificates: No refunds are processed for non-refundable cases. A convenience fee on the base price and currency i.e. the actual product chosen, as per the company’s discretion, will be deducted from refundable cases initiated before the doctor review as per the details mentioned under the section “Eligible Refund Cases”. The user is not eligible for any refund if a request is made for a refund after the doctor review for whatever reason. However, if the doctor denies the case after doctor review, the user is eligible for a refund deducting the convenience fee mentioned in the section “Eligible Refund Cases” and the doctor‘s review fee of $10/ €10 (as per the base currency chosen by the user or the equivalent amount in INR for all cases coming under the criteria of international cases as per company’s policy. If the doctor processes the case but the customer changes their mind, refunds are not applicable. Please note that all details, including duration and diagnosis, are at the doctor’s discretion only, based on the details provided by the user.
- Form 1A Certificates: For Form 1A cases, a convenience fee of INR 250 will be levied on all refundable document formats. No refunds are made after ear and eye tests are conducted. The issuance of a medical certificate is at the doctor’s discretion the case and if the user qualifies for the ear and eye test successfully.
- Partner Service: MedicalCertificate.in is not responsible for any payment made by the user at any partner service.
Additional Notes:
- International Cases: In any case where either the user is outside India, or the organization where the document is submitted outside India, either of these conditions or both of these conditions qualify the case as an International case. Doctors will contact users only if further case details are needed; otherwise, documents are processed based on user input in the form.
- Indian Cases: The patient must directly attend the review with the doctor, except in cases of minors, where only parents need to attend the review with the doctor. For patients unable to get in review with the doctor due to severe health conditions, a 30-second video on the doctor review day displaying the patient’s current health condition along with submission of appropriate supporting documents is mandatory.
- Database Policy: Closed cases databases either in digital or physical forms are retained for a maximum of 15 days. If a case remains inactive and unresolved for 7 days with no response from the user, it will be closed without any eligibility for a refund. If all required details are provided by the user, the document may be released at the discretion of our medical team. If any required details are missing, the case will be closed without releasing the document and without any eligibility for a refund.
- Diagnosis and Duration: The doctor determines the duration and diagnosis basis the details shared by the user and whether the case does or does not qualify for a medical certificate based on their professional judgment and legal requirements.
- Document Process: The company has a strict policy of no changes to be incorporated in an already issued document. If the user does not respond to the approval request for the digital document (for handwritten document requests), the document will be automatically released 24 hours after the digital document’s release, without waiting for further approval. No changes will be incorporated once the document is issued. We provide shipping for cases only in India. For users who opt for the shipping service, shipping will be on hold until the user confirms the shipping address. Before choosing the shipping service, please confirm that your delivery address is serviceable by Blue Dart. Once the document is dispatched from our end, the delivery is not our responsibility. The company makes only one shipping attempt as per the shipping product chosen by the user. If a second attempt is required for whatever reason an additional fee of INR 499 will apply to make a second attempt at shipping if the user asks for it. We do not make a second attempt at shipping from our end without a formal request made by the user sending an email to care@medicalcertificate.in.
- Document Verification: For document verification, email contact with the doctor is free, but if an organization requires a telephonic review with the doctor, a base fee of INR 599/ $10/ €10 (as per the base product currency chosen by the user) applies.
To initiate a refund, users must email care@medicalcertificate.in with their case details and invoice. Refund requests are only accepted via email and no other medium and will be responded to within five working days (Mon-Fri, 10 am to 6 pm). Refunds, if approved, will be processed through the original payment method, subject to payment gateway processing times
